Kristi Anderson Wells brings many years of experience in the areas of taxation, benefits and executive compensation law to the practice of family law. Kristi’s practice exists at the intersection of these areas of law, focusing on the division of executive compensation, retirement assets, stock options, restricted stock, stock appreciation rights and other equity arrangements in dissolution, the tax aspects of spousal maintenance and property transfers, and valuation issues. In addition to helping clients in traditional dissolution cases, Kristi also has experience in the area of same-sex partnerships, marriages, and civil unions, child support modifications and parenting plan modifications.
Kristi’s goal is to provide her clients with a balance of advocacy and sound practical advice. When going through a divorce ‒ one of the most difficult times in anyone’s life ‒ people need compassionate representation, guidance from someone who can weigh the costs and benefits of pursuing a legal remedy, help in reaching a mutually-agreeable resolution, and an aggressive advocate on their side when the situation warrants it. Kristi is child-focused and committed to minimizing the sort of collateral damage that can accompany dissolution actions. Kristi works diligently to create positive outcomes for her clients and their children.
