Bonnie Schriner is an experienced trial attorney, who now limits her solo practice to mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law for domestic relations, civil, and commercial disputes. In collaborative law cases, Bonnie has served and is available to serve as your individual counsel, communications coach for one or both parties, mediator, or the team’s Collaborative Divorce Facilitator (CDF).

A graduate of Creighton University in social work, Bonnie was an intensive casework services social worker and suicide crisis counselor before attending law school. She graduated from the University of Colorado College of Law in 1973, and was a trial deputy in the Denver office of the Colorado State Public Defender. She became the first female head of their juvenile division.
Bonnie co-authored Formal Ethics Opinion 67 (Colorado), permitting contingent fee collection of liquidated child support arrearages. She was a contributing author to Collaborative Law, A New Model for Dispute Resolution (Bradford Publishing 2004) and to The Practitioner’s Guide to Colorado Domestic Relations Law (CBA CLE 2003). She is a respected lecturer and writer on procedure, collaborative law, enforceability of agreements, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. She was among the first Colorado practitioners to handle marital agreement negotiation and drafting in the Collaborative Law model.
Bonnie is a member of the Executive Council of the Board of Governors for the Colorado Bar Association. She is a current member and a past Chair of the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and a former co-editor of the Family Law Newsletter in the Colorado Lawyer. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Women’s Bar Association, Minoru Yasui Inn of Court, the Academy for Collaborative Practice, Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals, Rocky Mountain Collaborative Law Professionals, , and serves on the Boards of Directors of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Colorado and the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals.
