Erica R. Kemmerley, Esq., received her undergraduate degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison in 1985, and her law degree from the University of Denver School of
Law in 1988. Ms. Kemmerley has been practicing exclusively family law for 38 years
and she joined the premier family law firm of Sherr Puttmann Akins Lamb PC in 2019.
Prior to Bill Hunnicutt’s passing in 2019, Ms. Kemmerley had practiced with Hunnicutt
& Appelman, PC, for over 20 years. Ms. Kemmerley has been collaboratively trained
since 2012 and typically maintains a minimum of 2 collaborative cases in her typical
caseload. Ms. Kemmerley was named 5280 Top Divorce Attorney for 5 years (2016 –
2020), Super Lawyer (2022 - 2025), and Best Lawyers in America list (2021 - 2025). For
fun, she likes to golf, travel and hike. Erica has hiked 34 of Colorado’s Fourteeners, but
has re-hiked 6 of those in the last 5 years for a total of 40.
